My Delayed Birthday... @ Cradle Mountan Lodge!
Friday [29th August]:
- Buffet Breakfast, with views of beautiful Tasmanian landscape. Quality Dining! - 10:00am: 60minutes of head, neck and shoulder massage + treatment facials @ Waldheim Alpine Spa. It was heavenly! - Lunch, Relaxing, LOTS of Journal Writing, LOTS of reading and talking and sleeping etc. Mm, the good times. - Entre, Dinner, Desert @ Highlander Restraunt. Oh yes, the food was most definately 5-star quality! DELICIOUS. (I would've written out what i ate only i'm not so good at memorizing 5 lots of very long and complicated french words lol). - Hot chocolate, Tea, Mood music at our room. Mum and i talked for HOURS that night. It was warm, cosy, and soooo relaxing.
[Mum. Inside the Restraunt.]
[And there's the fireplace. Isn't it awesome!?]
Saturday [30th August]:
- Slept in really late into the day. We had to race off, looking terrible i might add, to get to the buffet breakfast in time :P - Went for a drive to Dove Lake. - At 4:00pm we spent nearly 2 hours in the 'Sanctuary' Room @ Waldheim Alpine Spa. There is a Sauna, a Steam-room, a plunge pool (a freezing cold deep tiny pool), and an outdoor hot tub (so awesome when it snows!) - Had an early tea and an early night...
[Outside of Waldheim Alpine Spa]
[Inside the SANCTUARY @ Waldheim Alpine Spa]
[The Outdoor Hot-Tub]
[The river had ice in it! It sleeted while i was in the hot-tub. It was wierd having cold stuff on my face but the rest of me was warm as!]
[Dove Lake Walks... We didn't do any of them :P]
Sunday [31st August]:
- Buffet Breakfast. The last one :( - 10:00am Full-body massage @ Waldheim Alpine Spa. - 11:15am - 12:30pm Spent all that time in the Sanctuary. - Can't remember what time we left but eventually we left the 5-Star heaven and drove back down the mountain, back into range of reception - Man i got a heap of text messages in one go! I guess they kinda build up after being 4 days out of range :P
There were heaps of 'locals' roaming around EVERYWHERE at the resort. They were so tame, you actually had to "shoo" them out of the way, or else step over them, cuz they wouldn't move!...
Here's some of our friendly neighbours:
[This is Poog the Possum]
[This Patty the Melon... get it? Lol]
[This is Frank...]
Overall: I think that Cradle Mountain Lodge lives up to its 5-star rating. However, it is more appropriately catered for Couples. If you're looking for a romantic getaway, a honeymoon spot, a place to pop the big question, etc.. Cradle Mountain Lodge is the place to be! Its very relaxing and i enjoyed every minute of not having reception lol!
Sick of answering questions; My Birthday Crash...
A REAL Fireside
This is how the story goes:
It was dark and cold as we walked through mud, trees and little boys jumping out from behind bushes! But at the end of the perilous trail there was a light.. A giant beacon of light.. A light so big that it could be seen from the city - Yep, that's right, it was the "Bonfire"! It was warm, [VERY HOT!! Almost too hot!], light, and exciting. We all positioned ourselves, a decent distance away from the spouting embers and blazing heat, around the fire and our MC opened up the proceedings for the night.
Our MC was a dashing young chap; broad-shouldered, a gentle giant named Danyall Richard! It was he who announced our next character in the story. Ben Terry. He was a stout, well-groomed, witty fellow from the land of West Launceston. He stood before the burning fire and enlightened us with his clever words of wisdom. Next to follow Ben came a lean, mean, fun-machine named Joe Rogers! His big great smile dazzled the crowds as he too had an important message to share. Next came a slender beauty; a fair maiden named Tanya Honey. She greeted us with kind friendly words and then left us with a beautiful song. By this point the hearts and minds of all were filled with Happiness, Hope, Friendship and Inspiration.
But the feast of 'good-stuff' didn't end here.
Before us now stood a strapping, wise man; tall, well-dressed and refined by the years. Bishop Mitchell was his name, profound words was his game and listening/ learning from was OUR aim. So filled with stirring words, testimonies were shared as our bodies were filled with an intense warmth! [Was that the spirit or the fire? Hmm] Our main man dan concluded the night. And like all happy endings we ended with a song, Happy hearts, warm freinds, tummies filled with marshmallows.
THE END :)
I Wrote a Song <3
(Verse 1)
I remember it was autum,
leaves were fallin' from the trees.
We talked for a while, you smiled,
I went weak at the knees.
And oh when you took my hand
something inside me took command.
Before i knew it could be true,
Darlin' I fell in love with you! (Verse 2)
I remember spending afternoons
just sitting in the park.
We'd talk for hours and watch
the daylight turn to dark.
In your arms i stayed
so comfortable and unafraid.
Just like a child with a friend
i never wanted it to end. (Chorus)
You are beautiful to see.
You were a blessing sent to me.
And even though it had to end,
it's nice to know you're still a friend.
I wrote this song for you,
to let you know the truth:
You mean so much to me [because]
You are my Sweetest Memory. (Verse 3)
I remember those blue eyes
and how they saw the best in me.
And with every touch i felt
that it was meant to be.
We laughed, we cried, we played,
we made the most of everyday.
But by the end, my friend,
you turned and walked away. (Bridge)
But still i
Thank you for the tender moments,
the laughs, the talks, the trust,
Thank you for your time, your smile,
your eyes, your love,
the bitter-sweet
the sweetest memory (Chorus)
You are beautiful to see.
You were a blessing sent to me.
And even though it had to end,
it's nice to know you're still a friend.
I wrote this song for you,
to let you know the truth:
You mean so much to me [because]
You are - You are beautiful to see.
You were a blessing sent to me.
And even though it had to end,
it's nice to know you're still a friend.
This song goes out to you,
the one who made it true.
You mean the world to me -
You are my Sweetest Memory.
Reasons why i refuse to grow up...
2. Because i won't be the life of the Youth Sleepovers (:P) ...
3. Because i won't be able to get away with dressing like this...
(2002)
4. Because i won't be able to attend Youth Convention's...
"Friends are one of the most important part of your life. Treasure the tears, treasure the laughter, but most importantly, Treasure the memories" (Dave Brenner)
"Goodbye"
"Goodbye."
i'm walking alone now
i walk Free;
no longer am i Surrounded by you
but now i have to find Me.
when you left
you still had my heart;
you left with a piece of me
and it hurt.
No More.
(as Memories never rest) i still remember:
we walked a while together;
it was beautiful,
a smile could say it all.
you were a Blessing to me
and i gave you my All
i gave you my heart.
you can Keep my heart
but i'm Leaving it behind
with you.
Now i walk a new path
as a child once more(afraid of the unknown)
i begin my journey
with a Happy heart;
i thank you for the Smile
i thank you for the joy,
the comfort
i thank you most for you
your love;
thank you.
Now all my thoughts are said
all my feelings are known
All that is left
(for you and me) is
Goodbye.
