A REAL Fireside

On Tuesday the 15th July, Launceston East and West YW/YM had a combined activity held at the Reeves.
This is how the story goes:
It was dark and cold as we walked through mud, trees and little boys jumping out from behind bushes! But at the end of the perilous trail there was a light.. A giant beacon of light.. A light so big that it could be seen from the city - Yep, that's right, it was the "Bonfire"! It was warm, [VERY HOT!! Almost too hot!], light, and exciting. We all positioned ourselves, a decent distance away from the spouting embers and blazing heat, around the fire and our MC opened up the proceedings for the night.
Our MC was a dashing young chap; broad-shouldered, a gentle giant named Danyall Richard! It was he who announced our next character in the story. Ben Terry. He was a stout, well-groomed, witty fellow from the land of West Launceston. He stood before the burning fire and enlightened us with his clever words of wisdom. Next to follow Ben came a lean, mean, fun-machine named Joe Rogers! His big great smile dazzled the crowds as he too had an important message to share. Next came a slender beauty; a fair maiden named Tanya Honey. She greeted us with kind friendly words and then left us with a beautiful song. By this point the hearts and minds of all were filled with Happiness, Hope, Friendship and Inspiration.
But the feast of 'good-stuff' didn't end here.
Before us now stood a strapping, wise man; tall, well-dressed and refined by the years. Bishop Mitchell was his name, profound words was his game and listening/ learning from was OUR aim. So filled with stirring words, testimonies were shared as our bodies were filled with an intense warmth! [Was that the spirit or the fire? Hmm] Our main man dan concluded the night. And like all happy endings we ended with a song, Happy hearts, warm freinds, tummies filled with marshmallows.
THE END :)

- Hey. If you are reading this, you probably already know who I am. But just in case you're new... Call me Jess, I'm a human being, and this blog is a mixture of a) updating the gossip grapevine and b) personal therapeutic word-vomit and such. Have a wander, expect the unexpected, leave a comment and then go right on doing whatever it is that you do each day. Keep it simple, keep it real ;) Love Jess.
