This is beautiful!!

I opened up the nine msn home page and this article was the one to grab my attention - for 2 reasons: 1) It's the first "good news" i've heard in a long time! 2) It's a rare and beautiful concept!

Read this:

"Couple Wait for First Kiss at the Altar
Won't kiss on the first date? How about waiting until marriage?"

Bradbury Family Christmas Tree

Every year, the Bradbury family Christmas Tree gains a new batch of home made christmas decorations from Nursery, School, YW's and Relief Society. Over the years, we've accumulated a broad range of creations.
It never ceases to amaze my mother of all the different uses for Pegs and Paddle-pop sticks!

Here are just a very small collection of these home-made Christmas Tree Decorations:

Put all these "Lovely" designs together [and more], add some tinsel, a star thats as old as i am, some haggard fairy lights, let the little kids do it all and then bambadada.... you get THE BRADBURY FAMILY CHRISTMAS TREE:

Christmas is coming... Brace yourselves!

Hawley Beach

Well, Monday (24th November 2008) i once again found myself home alone.
I woke up to an empty, quiet house. I cleaned up, did some washing then looked outside to see this:

[Sunshine and Blue Sky!]

So i decided i'd do a spontaneous trip to the one beach i haven't been to in AGES! I went to Sanky Beach, at Hawley.
For those who arent familiar with it, it's here:

After spending the last couple of weeks with friends and family, i grabbed at the opportunity to have "me-time" (i spent the day relaxing on my own).
The drive there was beautiful! I had the music blaring, windows down and i stopped whenever i wanted to take a photo. There's this one spot, on the top of a hill, where in one direction you get the view of the mountains and countryside and when you turn around to face the otherside, you get a view of the seaside!

The seaside...

The countryside...

A chicken letterbox...

And then i arrived at the beach filled with fond memories.. Sanky.

I also swam at the first beach too...

My form of transport for the day...

And me, with wet, curly hair and froggles (Huge sunnies)...

Drove home in the same fashion i drove to this adventure. And i didn't get cold cuz it was a warm day. Warm weather makes me so happy :D

FRIEND FILE #1: My 3 Favourite Boys!!

FRIEND FILE #1:

Many females, all over the globe, fantasize about meeting "the perfect male".
I confess, i am one of those girls.
Now i haven't found the perfect male... but i've found 3 young men who come pretty darn close!

Introducing: Jack Prebble, Luke Radosavljevic, and Danyall Richard...

Over this past year (although i've known most of them for longer than that) these great guys have grown to become my most adored male pals. We've had many fun times together! The more i learn about them, the more i respect and adore them!

I suppose i'll give a brief spill about each member of the notorious trio:

Jack Prebble
Age: 17
Favourite Colour: Blue
Personal interests: Sports (especially basketball, swimming, camping and outdoor activities), Computing, Laughing and mucking around with mates.
Favourite Quote: "The three essentail ingrediant for happiness are: Something to Do, Someone to Love, Something to Hope For."
Top 5 things look for in a girl:
1. Gorgeous smile – where you can see the smile in her eyes
2. Integrity – strong to what she believes in
3. Sense of humour – laughs at my jokes
4. A friend... someone who confides stuff into.. and wants to talk to you... if shes in trouble or upset your the first person she thinks to tell..
5. Fun! (eg: accepts when she gets thrown in the pool!)

This year, Jack has sort of been my personal, portable oral diary. I could tell him anything, in full confidence, and he would patiently listen - no matter how repetitive, over-dramatic or boring i was. He's also provided me with some astounding "pearls of wisdom" throughout our conversations too, which often either spun my head out, or really smacked me into the right perspective. I always feel right at home with Jack and never feel the presure of needing to entertain in his company, quiet moments are never awkward with Jack. I always value what Jack has to say, especially when it's an observation he's made. I like that Jack is so aware of other people and picks up on 'the little things' about others. He has a unique and easy going attitude towards life, always living life with a smile on his face. And that's probably the one thing that i love most about Jack - he has a big beautiful smile!

Luke Radosavljevic
Age: 16
Favourite Colour: Green
Personal interests: hanging with friends, drawing weapons, playing rugby and gridiron, playing my xbox 360 and doing martial arts
Favourite Quote: “Whoever fights with monsters should see to it that in the process he does not become one himself.”
Top 5 things look for in a girl:
1. Likes to have fun
2. Beautiful
3. Member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints
4. Qualities of a future mum
5. Kind

Luke, is what i often refer to as "God's gift to women". Haha. He's one unique guy, to say the least. Luke is what they call: a killer romantic. It's incredible! He thinks up the most romantic ideas... and he's a straight male! The boys a natural, a real life romantic (even better than the movies). This boy knows exactly what he wants, and he's working avidly to achieve his goals and dreams. He has an amazing drive, which is truly sincere, to develop himself into the 'perfect' husband/father. Almost everytime Luke and I have had a 'D&M', we've discussed what a girl wants in a guy and what are the lasting qualities to gain so he can be the very best he can be for his future wife and children. He treats females with such respect. And whoever said "chivalry is dead" clearly never knew/ met Luke!

Danyall Richard
Age: 16
Favourite Colour: Green
Personal interests: Sport, Random/ Crazy Stuff
Favourite Quote: “Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness, that most frightens us. Your playing small does not serve the world. There is nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won't feel insecure around you. We are all meant to shine as children do. It's not just in some of us; it is in everyone. And as we let our own lights shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others.”
Top 5 things look for in a girl:
1. Good-Looking
2. Good Personality
3. Same Beliefs (The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints)
4. Knows how to have fun & can take a joke
5. Will have ‘random moments’ with me

Dan's our gentle giant. Despite his height (he's sooooo tall!), he's a real classic gentleman. I've watched Dan grow and make some really good changes in his life, this year showed a HUGE change in Dan. It's great to see him smiling, participating and really getting the most out of life. It takes alot to make the changes Dan did, and i'm so very proud of him. Dan has been one of those guys who've made me feel like i've done some good in life. I love that our friendship is one where he knows he can call on me whenever he needs me, no matter what the dilemma. What i admire most about Dan is his determined nature. I've never seen anyone commit like Dan does. When he makes up his mind about something, it's set in stone for him and he works darn hard to achieve whatever it is he's set out to do! Its amazing the results he creates. Dan is also gentle. That's always the word i think of when i think of Dan. He has a gentle and loving nature. He's sensative to others, caring, and just such a sweetheart!

So that's my 3 favourite boys.
They've been a real inspiration in my life, each with their unique qualities. Guaranteed, anytime that these boys get together there'll be a) boy-band singing, b) talk of future companions (girls) and c) lots of fun and laughter!

I could go on forever, but i'll just leave it with a quote that i think fits:

"Friendship is like peeing on yourself: everyone can see it, but only you get the warm feeling that it brings"

[Haha!! C'mon guys, you didn't seriiously think i was gunna stay serious and mushy the WHOLE way through this post did you?? :P]

A massively lengthy and insightful update - which is tremendously over-due!

Okay! Wow, it has been a Looong time since i last posted!

Alot has happened.

Let me re-cap...:

The YSA Halloween Dance

Collette Gibson, Jess Gibson, Dale Prebble, Danny Polley and myself all piled into Collete's jaz and roadtripped down to hobart. The trip was pretty fun with dale randomly saying strnge things at wierd times, awesome "sing-a-longs", the hey sheep! game, car stereotyping *our stereotype was the "We borrowed mum's car to go on a roadtrip" - long story) and of course there were photos taken!

When we arrived in hobart, we hunted around for some dinner. I had absolutely no idea what was going on so i ended uip trying some thai noodles for the first time! It was yummy :)
It was here we stumbled across the lovely Camilla Mitchell.

We went back to Camillas and watched Toy Story in between getting ourselves dressed up for the dance.
Collete was 'the grudge', Jess was 'the corpse bride', Dale was 'the hulk', Danny was - um - 'frankenstein' [i think?], and i was just a dead emo lol. I couldn't find a costume at such short notice and none of zoe terry's pretty fairy outfits would do the trick, haha.

It was my first ever YSA dance and it was very interesting, to say the least. The first thing i noticed was that when the slow songs came on - the single guys retreated to the opposite end the girls retreated to! It was cliche i had to laugh. So i did what i would always do, i broke the trend. I made a conscious effort to dance with every single guy in the room that i could hunt down, haha. I succeeded. I also danced like i just didn't care who was watching [and i confess, i really didn't care what anyone thought. I love dancing!] all night long. I was exhausted BEFORE i arrived, by the end of the night i was beyond exhaustion!

I slept most of the trip back.

*Deloraine Halloween Party.

I planned on suprising my family with a visit home, only to dscover as i entered the house, they were leaving!
I rushed into a costume [which actually turned out pretty awesome], and headed up to the Carona's property in Dunorlan. There was a paddock full of decorated car-boots and a vast array of bizarre, creative, wierd/ wacky and wonderful costumes!! We played games, 'Trick or Treated' around the car boots and went on a hay-bail tractor ride.

*Craft fair with Dale and Lizzy.

The next day was...
The first week of November & the Deloraine Craft Fair. It's the biggest thing to ever hit Deloraine on a regular basis! People from not only all over Australia, but all over the world come to this grand 4-day event. Much of my family were out and about doing various things so i invited Dale and Lizzie Prebble to accompany me for the day. It was pretty exciting! I tried the HOTTEST chilli sauce ever! [I felt so tough that i didn't cry, mind you i did have to have an ice cream to cool my burning throat!] Played archery - i bet Dale! Woot woot! We were tempted to try the little 4-wheeler motorbikes but they were too small, too slow, and there was hardly enough room to burn around. So we gave that a miss. I bought lots of rings and food. So did Lizzie :D

*Newstead College Ball

I wasn't planning on going but my friends put in a trememndous effort for me to go, so i went... it was all for them.
The food was an average buffet. The dance floor was extremely crowded and small, but i still managed to bust some moves and shake my groove thing ;) That part was heaps of fun!
I changed outfit halfway through the night, which threw a few people's heads in. Ah, i've always loved to be "mysterious". Just when people think they've got me pinned, i do something... spontaneous [at least that's what i'll call it for now ;) Haha].

I had fun with my friends, but i was intensely tired immediately afterwards.
Afterall, it was the last week of formal schooling before exam weeks started!

*The end of my pre-tertiary education!

Exams: Human Biology on monday morning (the very first day of exams), Health Studies exam on tuesday morning, Psychology on Wednesday morning... and then FREEDOM! Having all your exams in the first 3 days is intense and somewhat stressful but at least it means i get an early break! YAY! No more stupid college!

To celebrate i've been partying all over the place! I haven't been to sleep any earlier than 3am for the last week or so! Its been fun :)

*Hobart Trip

Last weekend, Emma richards, Rachael Rattray and myself piled up em's parents car and we road tripped down to hobart. we stayed at the lovely, Emily Read's place (she's house-sitting for some people so we had the entire place to ourselves, brave move lol). We watched volleyball when we arrived friday night then went to macdonalds at around 10:30pm. We all got sucked into "Finding Nemo" which was playing on the customer tv!

Saturday, everyone took their sweet time to wake up and then we lazily got dressed for a day out! We spent the majority of the day doing some "Retail Therapy" (it's intense shopiing, haha). We snagged a few great bargains... Someone snagged one of my bargains :S

We then went to this psycho ysa bonfire thing. Firstly we headed out to 7-mile beach only to get caught in a random spell of torrential rain. So we ended up at some random's place. It was nice to catch up with Dallin and Camilla and politely make small talk with a few familiar faces who's names i still can't remember, haha. It was also a nice suprise to see Sam Honey there! Emily, Emma and i bailed early due to sleep deprivation. We ended up watching a chick flick ["10 things i hate about you"] and muching down some chocolate.

Sunday we attended Rosny Ward. It was lovely. I thoroughly enjoyed it. I love Sundays, with a passion! We arrived back in Launceston late in the afternoon. Just enough time to spare before we had to head into Deloraine for the...

*Seminary/Institute Graduation

*A Spontaneous Day Out!

Monday i decided to go hang out with Sam Honey. We chatted. When we went to drop off a drink to her friend we spontaneously decided to borrow his car (which is an awesome beast of a car! I love love love it!) and headed to bellingham beach. At lillydale, Dale Prebble joined us to our trip. Just out of Lillydale we side-tracked to a tunnel. It was a pretty creepy tunnel, even in the gorgeous sunlight it was creepy!
We arrived at the beach, and the pictures can tell the story from here...

*The beginning of the Twilight of my Life...

Yes, now that exams are over and i have no more pressing commitments, i have begun the Twilight journey. I've completed the first two books of the Twilight Series by Stephanie Meyer and am hungry for the third and fourth books. It has thus far exceeded my expectations, despite the hype many people have given the books. I love them! I'm actually hungry for more of the stroy... i HAVE to know what happens next!

Hey. If you are reading this, you probably already know who I am. But just in case you're new... Call me Jess, I'm a human being, and this blog is a mixture of a) updating the gossip grapevine and b) personal therapeutic word-vomit and such.
