New Years Eve in Bridport...

New Years Eve, i arose early to pick up Jack Prebble, Danyall Richard and Luke Radosavljevic on the way to Bridport!

When we arrived in Bridport, we had a typical male lunch: CHIPS... $10 worth of chips!
Then we scrambled over rocks to find our own secluded little cove to swim and sunbake in.

We then headed down a dirty, pot-hole ridden, almost-a-4-wheel-drive-track to Adams Beach. We braved the intense winds and trecherous waves... to go fishing. It was GREAT! we bailed after about twenty minutes because it just got too cold and ridiculous.

On our way back over the large granite rocks, we saw a familiar figure heading around the other side... it was none other than Josh Polley!

So our group of 4 turned into a group of 5!
We did alot of driving along roads which my little bogged down nissan pulsar probably shouldn't have gone on, but it was all so much fun! [And my little car survived, ok!]

We did alot of this:

[Polley can fly...!]
[Polley can flip...!]

At some point Kieran Spilling joined us too... Hence why we've got some more photos
(Jack's camera died before the afternoon hardly began!)

We crashed at Collette's place, where the Polleys were staying. Got changed and then headed to the beach for a bonfire!
The bonfire was great fun! ... Until the rain came!
We bailed after a while and partied on out to the New Year at Collette's!!

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!

I have a feeling 2009 is going to be a good year...

A Day Out with Jonny & Alisha

One of my new years resolutions is to spend some more quality time with my two youngest siblings (because i haven't been able to this past year). I know it isn't new years yet but i think i have a good cause to start early :D

We went up to Liffey Falls!

I'll let the pictures tell the story...

[We're on our way...]

[Some idiots idea of "Art"... It just ruins the natural art surrounding!!]

[Jonny and Alisha were fascinated by the "fluffy green stuff" on the rocks. It was a really soft, clean moss of some sort.]

[The journey ahead]

[Jonny found as many hidy-holes as he could along the way!]

[There were so many beautiful spot along the way. Its a beautiful walk!]

[Jonny was shrieking "Look! A leaf loveheart!!"]

[Lisha found her own hole in a tree. This is her looking "tough"... She looks more like shes about to kill someone to me!]

[The log was very high and there was water underneath]

[Liffey Falls]

[The Trio at Liffey Falls]

[We found a cave!]

[Don't worry i didn't let him go too far into the dark cave...]

[We pass this on the way to/from the Liffey Falls track]

Christmas Day with the Bradbury Family

Well, Christmas morning is pretty much the same every year.
It starts with the youngest children waking EVERYONE ELSE up at the spilt second the clock turns to 7:30am!
We head into the loungeroom and see this:

And after...:

Later in the Day we had christmas lunch with the Terry's in Launceston, then headed down to the Gorge for swimming. We bumped into the Prebbles, which was pretty awesome! Then when the parking meter started to run out, we left again.
MERRY CHRISTMAS!!

Christmas Eve

Christmas eve, the morgans, terrys and most of the bradbury's ambushed the bowling alley in Kings Meadows! $3 per game, who wouldn't take that offer!!?
Jonny and Zoe proved to be naturals, getting strikes all over the place... and in the end... the little kids team bet the adults by nearly 100 points!!
Belinda came up with a very odd style of bowling...
It was a fun time.

In the evening, the Bradbury home was full of christmas colours and family!

[Mum asked for my 'artistic' input in the preparations, so, I designed and created these festive table garnishes :P]

This is what a techno-obsessed child does on christmas eve:

Feeding the masses on Christmas eve:

Reading and singing the christmas story...

Next, we had a crack at charades! It was pretty hilarious cuz everyone got right into it!!

After Charades and the extended family left, we piled into the tarago and hunted down the christmas lights of deloraine! There weren't very many decorated houses this year, but still enough to make us all tired and eager for bed when we arriveed home!

Bridport Family Camp

Okaaay... So we went to Bridport Bayview Centre for about 5 days. The Terry family (Ben & Belinda, Zoe, Eli, Ella), the Morgan family (Jana & Andrew, Charlise, Noah), the Bradbury's (Mum & Dad, myself, Bekah, Leia, Kayla, Alisha, Jonny) and randomly the Walker family (Liz, emily and her boyfriend stefan, jacqui, pheobe, lillie-mae, ben) came even though they're not related to us!!

I arrived a little while before mum did so i chose my cabin (no.5) as soon as i could! I wanted one with this view:

...Instead i got an even BETTER view (but forgot to take a picture of it :P )
Some shots of the cabins:

On the first day we were there, Bekah and i went for a scenic drive out of Bridport, up some random dirt road, which then turned into a 4-wheel-drive track, in search of some point on the map we had... I took my nissan pulsar on a 4-wheel-drive track!!! WOOT! It was hilarious and bekah and i couldn't stop laughing once we found cemented roads again!! We had to dodge pot-holes only to land in others, put up with corrigation lumps the size of trenches (mild exaggeration there) and make sure we didn't go drifting across the dirt into the shrubbs (which nearly happened a couple of times)!! Yep. We're thrill seekers ;)

On Sunday morning, Nan, myself, Bekah and Alisha travelled all the way from Bridport to Launceston for Church and back again! It was a wonderful adventure.
On Sunday afternoon, Aunty Marg, Aunty Thelma, Emma and her children all arrived from the various places they came from to join us at camp! They didn't recognise me until i started talking! It was wonderful to see them all. Last time i saw any of them i was roughly 9 years old, i think.
Sunday was also Ella Terry's birthday...

We went to the beach when it was sunny, swam, played tennis up at the camp, played many games of pool, volleyball was a hit for all, card games when the weather went sour, charades was also an... "interesting" experience (although i was half asleep at the time, i did hear ALOT of laughing and the following day heard alot about what happened!)

Here's some of the pictures...

[We were all chilling out on the deck on the most beautiful day... we did alot of just hanging around, it was nice to just sit and chat]

[I couldn't resist painting the gorgeous view!]

There was some Christmas fever when we started roasting marshmallows and lighting sparklers...

[Yes, i confess, that is me in PJ's having a fun time with kiddie-sparklers!]

[Jonny and Eli working some 'Magic' together, hehe]

[Yep... the fever has made mum go loopy...]

Bekah's Gr 10 Leavers Dinner

The day after Kayla's Leavers Dinner, was BEkah's Leavers Dinner!
We were still making and finishing her outfit hours before it started!
But in the end, she looked beautiful (and arrived ON TIME)...
