Dedicated to someone special (2) ...

This is the second in a series of posts dedicated to people who have made me who I am today.

If you read my blog regularly, you would have recently read this, and it would come as no surprise to you that this post is dedicated...

To my dear Anthony,

,

I am certainly a changed women since you came into my life!

I was a silly, bruised, insecure and unattractive girl when we met.

And you loved me regardless of my looks, insecurities and faults.

I remember on the first date you took me on, you looked at me, I had no make up on, was covered in sand, feeling nervous, and you just put your arm around me, looked me straight in the eyes and told me I was beautiful.

I've been completely smitten since.

Waking up to most mornings with your arms wrapped around me and a whisper "Good morning beautiful" reminds me of your unconditional love.

Your patience ever astounds me. It matches no other that I've ever known! I have little patience and you have enough patience for more than the two of us.

I'm grateful for your enduring patience.

And I'm especially grateful for your ability to overlook faults and look instead on improvements and ongoing progress. Your unwavering support has moulded me into a more sensible, confident and 'attractive' woman. (Well I'm not totally ugly at the least).

Your example as a righteous Priesthood holder has blessed my life greatly. I value that you endeavour to bring good habits from your mission into practice in our marriage. We're both better because of it.

And I especially want to express my gratitude for your willingness to forgive. I know of late, I have been exhausting and confusing. But I am ever grateful for your forgiving, supportive and loving nature; that you so sincerely set aside your own feelings to support me in times of trial.

You get better with time hun. I know I tell you this often but it's so true!

I appreciate all the 'little' (and big) things that you do... From your little notes, to the frequent gifts (especially those edible ones!), to coming home after a long day to find our place all cleaned and dinner on the go.

You were everything I ever wanted in a husband. Now, you are even more!

I love you.

Forever yours,

your wiff ;).

(For people who are not Anthony, 'wiff' is not a typo, it's an inside joke).

Hey. If you are reading this, you probably already know who I am. But just in case you're new... Call me Jess, I'm a human being, and this blog is a mixture of a) updating the gossip grapevine and b) personal therapeutic word-vomit and such. Have a wander, expect the unexpected, leave a comment and then go right on doing whatever it is that you do each day. Keep it simple, keep it real ;) Love Jess.
